Ben & Jerry’s Factory

Waterbury, VT

Our first stop will be at the Ben & Jerry’s Factory in Waterbury. There, you will take 30-minute tour which includes a short film about their history, followed by a guided walkthrough of the production facilities, ending with free samples of their latest flavor! After the factory tour, there will be time to explore the gift shop.

First Time in Vermont!

My husband and I truly enjoyed both tours we did with Vermontology. Natalia was amazing. She promptly picked us up at our hotel. We were then joined by another couple (Hi Sue and Eric!) and off we went to explore. The first day was the Waterbury-Stowe Day Tour. It was great! Loved all the sites especially the Trapp Family Lodge. Natalia is very knowledgeable and gives you a bit of history of each location. You also get free time to walk around on your own at Stowe Village.” Read more on TripAdvisor…

Cold Hollow Cider Mill

Waterbury Center, VT

Our next stop of the day will be the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, also in Waterbury Center. Cold Hollow is one of Vermont’s leading producers of apple cider, but they also carry a number of other Vermont-made products as well, such as maple syrup and other specialty items. The first thing you will notice when entering Cold Hollow Cider Mill is the amazing smell of fresh apples being transformed into cider. The aroma always reminds us of Autumn, but fortunately for us, Cold Hollow Cider Mill is open year ’round! Once inside, you can help yourself to free samples of their freshly made cider, plus sample locally made jams and preserves. And of course, there is plenty of food for sale as well. (You will not want to leave without trying a hot cider donut!)

Vermontology with Natalia…the BEST way to see Vermont!!

Natalia was a wonderful tour guide!! My husband and I had a very relaxing day that included so many things we would have never found on our own. We didn’t need to try to figure out how to get around the area which can be very stressful in unfamiliar territory…” Read more on TripAdvisor…

Trapp Family Lodge

Stowe, VT

After Cold Hollow Cider Mill, we will drive to Stowe to visit the Trapp Family Lodge. The Trapp Family Lodge sits on 2,500 acres of land, with breathtaking scenic views of Vermont’s Green Mountains. The Von Trapp Family (from “The Sound of Music” fame) chose this location as their home because its scenery is reminiscent their native Austria. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a welcome sign that reads “The Trapp Family invites you to share a little of Austria, a lot of Vermont.”

What an exprience

“… We found Vermontology through a Google search and let me say that it was the best decision we ever made. From the second Natalia arrived at our house she was a breath of fresh air. She customized our tour with exactly everything we wanted to see. She also took us to some places that we would never imagine going and I’m so glad she did. Best experience I ever had. Spending the day with her wasn’t like spending it with a regular tour guide. She felt like she was part of the family. Great person, great experience. If you’re in Killington book her for a guided tour, you will not regret it. Thanks Natalia for making our trip so memorable. Read more on TripAdvisor…

Smugglers’ Notch State Park

Stowe, VT

After leaving the Trapp Family Lodge, we will take a scenic drive through *Smugglers’ Notch State Park. This narrow pass through Vermont’s Green Mountains features a steep and winding road, with impressive views of 1,000 foot cliffs above. As its name suggests, Smugglers’ Notch was originally used to smuggle various goods in and out of the country. Nowadays this area attracts visitors for its scenic beauty alone.

Burlington-Stowe Day Trip

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Vermont for Late Fall Foliage. I and my son went up on the Vermonter (Amtrak’s rail service to Burlington,VT) to catch the last part of fall foliage-after peak. I didn’t know what to expect but I booked a tour with Vermontology (a unique tour agency). Natalia,(the owner) took us on a customized day trip. She was knowledgeable, engaging and enthusiastic which made for a uniquely intimate tour. Natalia gives you a genuine bird’s eye view of life in Vermont and Vermont culture. The day was full of pleasurable excursions, unexpected taste delights, visual treats and good company. I highly recommend this tour! It is one you are sure not to forget.” Read more on TripAdvisor…

* Smugglers’ Notch is closed in Winter. In its place, we will visit Emily’s Covered Bridge, and take a scenic ride through Stowe Hollow.

Stowe Village

Stowe, VT

Finally, our last visit of the day will be in downtown Stowe. With a population of just over 4,300 people, this village is home to many events throughout the summer, including a hot air balloon festival and many different arts and crafts shows. Here you will find many local artisan shops featuring art, jewelry, clothing, gifts, and number of award-winning specialty foods. There is even a Ski and Snowboard Museum, of interest to those who enjoy downhill Winter sports.

I highly recommend Natalia’s wonderful tour of Vermont!

I was looking for a get-away from the busy City life, and called Vemontology. Natalia helped guide me about great B&B options, and was easy to coordinate with.
The tour was magical to say the least. It far exceeded my expectations, and I got a taste of Vermont’s history, architecture, delish food and above all thoroughly enjoyed gorgeous scenic views (that are enough to inspire anyone~!). We did all this and more in three days. If your looking for a great vacation-Id suggest choosing Natalia as your guide.
